There are two ways to reach Gjipe Beach: by car/foot or by boat. If you choose to go by car, park your 2WD vehicle and embark on a leisurely 2.5km (approximately 45 minutes) walk to the beach and canyon. Note that there is a parking fee of 200 lek per person, so be sure to carry cash. If you have a 4×4 vehicle, you can drive directly to the beach, but exercise caution as the path can be narrow and lacks guardrails.
The hike down to Gjipe Beach is not too challenging, but consider the heat and time of day, as there is no shade along the way or at the beach. Along the path, you will come across several old bunkers from Albania’s communist era.
Alternatively, you can opt for a boat ride from Himara. Numerous boat operators offer transportation to Gjipe Beach, along with other nearby beaches.
